Welcome to Olympus, a landmark oceanfront estate in Rum Point. Recently acquired by new owners, this striking, architect-designed villa sits on an elevated shoreline, offering panoramic views of reef-protected waters and backyard snorkeling. With a bold abstract design, a three-level layout, and seamless indoor-outdoor living, Olympus is a masterpiece of modern island luxury.

The heart of the home is the lower-level great room, where 40 feet of floor-to-ceiling glass walls open to a sun-drenched terrace and L-shaped freshwater pool. The pool, heated seasonally from Thanksgiving through mid-April, is flanked by tiled patios and cool artificial turf for barefoot comfort. The home’s angular design provides natural shade throughout the day, creating relaxing outdoor retreats. A sandy backyard stretches to the water’s edge with a hammock for seaside siestas, while a half-bath with exterior entry serves guests enjoying the pool.

Indoors, a floating staircase and tropical wood accents lead into a stylish, open-concept living space. The living area features a sectional sofa, large HD cable television with Apple TV for streaming, and a PS4, plus an adjacent den for tranquil moments. Hidden roll-down shades and five independent air conditioning zones ensure cool comfort throughout.

The expansive kitchen boasts quartz countertops, top-of-the-line appliances, and a large island ideal for chef-hosted dinners or casual meals. A breakfast bar seats four, while the main dining table accommodates ten. 

Five well-appointed bedrooms sleep up to 12 guests, 10 adults max. There's a family suite and bunk room on the lower level, plus three king suites on the upper level.

  • Bedroom 1: family suite, lower level, king bed, sleeper sofa for 2 small children, television, walkout access to the pool deck, coffee station with minifridge, ensuite with shower.    
  • Bedroom 2: lower level, twin-over-full bunk beds, television, uses adjacent half bathroom.
  • Bedroom 3: primary suite, upper level, king bed, floor-to-ceiling oceanfront windows, television, desk + chair, walkout access to the east + west terraces, ensuite with soaking tub and rainfall shower.
  • Bedroom 4: upper level, king bed, television, walkout access to the west terrace, ensuite with shower.
  • Bedroom 5: upper level, king bed, television, walkout access to the west terrace, makeup vanity, ensuite with shower.

The third-floor rooftop terrace elevates outdoor living with 360-degree island views, an alfresco dining veranda seating 8–10 people, plus a sun deck for daytime tanning and a lounge area for late-night stargazing. An outdoor prep kitchen makes sunset dinners unforgettable. 

Additional amenities include a home office with wifi, a full laundry room, a Rinnai water system for continuous hot water, two propane grills, and heavy tropical landscaping for privacy. A home security system is available upon request, and mid-week housekeeping is included with 7-night stays.

Beach Notes

The entire island is only 22 miles wide from west to east so you are never too far from anywhere on Grand Cayman. 

The homes on the oceanfront in Rum Point offer great reef-protected snorkeling.  The beaches usually have plenty of white sand, but also can have spots of rocky “ironshore” with natural rock formations. 

The closer you get to Rum Point, usually the sandier the beach as well as the swimming. Either way, with the abundant marine life we have in the water, you will want to wear pool shoes or fins for foot protection.  The prevailing trade winds from the east also make flying insects less of a pest—many of the homes in Rum Point don’t even need a screened porch.

Olympus has a very sandy water entrance for swimming, however, there are critters so please wear foot protection.  We do get tidal seagrasses on the beach.  The owners hire a service that will rake the beach weekly to make a clear path to the water for snorkeling, kayaking, and swimming.

The big draw to this area is the proximity to the Rum Point Club, a public beach club that offers a fantastic barefoot beach, many watersports, a fine-dining restaurant, a beach bar & grill, a gift shop, and pick-up beach volleyball games. Also nearby is the Kaibo Yacht Club restaurant, bar and marina.

All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high water mark.

The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.

Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed

Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally.

Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival. 

Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation.

Absolutely fabulous villa. The pictures online are great but the actual place is even better. Spacious, beautiful, and very private. The added bonus of having the concierge was great as they helped with meals and excursions.

Olympus exceeded our expectations, which were high to start with. The property is gorgeous and we enjoyed the hammocks and snorkeling daily! Steve and the Silver Thatch crew were wonderful. Highly recommend booking the stingray/snorkel charter with Warren and do not miss out on the Bio Bay at night. We will cherish our memories of Olympus and Grand Cayman!

The blinds that open and go up into the ceiling are Cool. The Floor to ceiling windows, & the beautiful design of the house. The phenomenal rooftop. Wraparound pool. Sonos sound system that can operate in every room of the house, including the patio and roof is absolutely top-notch. This house exceeded expectations and is the most beautiful house we have ever seen. We love Rum point and also the East End, and while we do visit 7 mile….we prefer to hang with the Cayman locals…This home exceeded our expectations. It is the Best house we’ve ever been too.

We loved our stay. Very quiet and restful. The villa is gorgeous and well-appointed. Unfortunately minimal swimming or snorkeling off the beach while we were there…too windy. But the Rum Point Beach is close by which is nice.

Amazing house in every way. Spacious, luxurious, clean, amazing location on the beach, with its own \'private\' beach area. Great rooftop deck, both covered and uncovered. Service and support was outstanding.The sand on the beach is not powdery soft. It\'s perfectly fine but a combo of nice sand and small pebbles.Top notch in every way. Perfectly executed. Among the best were the in-Villa chef-prepared meals from Mise en Place, by Chef Scott and Assistant Isharnna

Four couples celebrated milestone June birthdays at Olympus. We picked the perfect home in the perfect location. Rest, relaxation, activities, yoga, great restaurants, at villa massage, charter to stingrays!!!! This home has it all and photos do no justice to the size and beauty of Olympus. Aptly named I would say!

What an AWESOME house! We loved everything about it! The indoor amenities were great, but the outdoor amenities were UNBELIEVABLE! Snorkeling right off the house, lazy days by the pool made this trip the ultimate vacation getaway. Don\'t miss the Tuesday night BBQ at Kaibo Beach Club. Drinks on the sand at the Wreck Bar. Walking to the morning coffee at the Kaibo Beach. Loved being on the north side of the island. We\'ll be back soon!!

What an incredible last minute trip! The house is absolutely amazing! Celebrated Frankie\'s 48th with the kids - took a boat out to Sting Ray City, Starfish Point, and snorkeled. Had delicious dinners at the Lighthouse and the Yacht Club. Next time, we plan on coming back and spending more time at this house - it\'s unreal. We\'ll be back. Thank you for sharing this with us!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Olympus! The property was just as beautiful as the photos led us to believe. The house was well-appointed and had everything we needed for our stay, including plenty of beach chairs, towels, extra blankets, and kitchen appliances/utensils for the meals we cooked in. The villa was a quick drive to the Rum Point area. The property manager was attentive and quick to answer any questions we had. We felt very well cared for on this trip and had the best time!

First, the house is absolutely amazing. The open floor plan, windows & sliding doors for ocean views, beautiful finishes and stunning rooftop deck. Truly an amazing villa. Since it is in the Rum Point area, it is a distance from George Town but with this villa and the amenities, you do not need to leave. Second, the service was amazing and went off without a glitch. When we arrived, the villa was fully stocked with all the pre-orders we requested (highly recommend) and it was a painless check-in/out process with the property manager. Silver Thatch Guest Services, especially Leah, were super helpful the entire time and made the stay at Olympus very enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Group of 8 adults from Houston area stayed at Olympus in early March. We can not say enough about the home. We travel to different destinations every year and Olympus and Grand Cayman are by far our favorite villa and destination. Friendly people, safe location, wonderful beach, swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, proximity to Rum Point and restaurants. The list of pros go on and on. Only con would be we had to leave! Interior is tastefully decorated with no clutter. Room for everyone to spread out. Each bedroom was quiet, comfortable and had its own bathroom. The patios around the pool, second floor and roof top were stunning. Depending on the time of day, there was always sun or shade - to suit our needs. The roof top patio was stunning views and we spent hours up there. We could see across the island with the George Town cruise ships on the horizon! We highly recommend Olympus, and thank Grand Cayman Villas for all help in planning our trip. The new welcome center was enjoyable and we used the gym a couple times! The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions and planning help. Best vacation ever. we will be back to Grand Cayman and Olympus!!!!!

  • Must be 25 years or older to book and must occupy the villa during the entire rental period.

Villa Cleaning & Sanitation

All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products.

Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival.

Getting Around

A rental car is highly recommended. Taxi cabs are unreliable and expensive outside of town and Seven Mile Beach. Plus, there is no Uber or Lyft on the island.  

For rental cars, we recommend Budget Cayman, Avis, or Marshalls.
