This sky-blue beach house in quiet Cayman Kai is barefoot on the outside, polished within. Recently built and immaculately furnished, it's easy, breezy Caribbean living, done right.

The pool and spa are the heart of it all—a private pool with an elevated, heated spa and six sun beds for the whole crew to spread out. It's the kind of setup that turns "let's just stay in today" into the plan for the whole trip.

When the sun starts to drop, fire up the summer kitchen—gas grill, ice maker, drink fridge and all— for an island surf and turf cookout under the stars. The wrap-around veranda is where it comes together: shade, island breeze, and alfresco dining with stellar waterfront views.

Inside, four bedrooms comfortably sleep up to 10 guests, anchored by a waterfront primary suite with walkout access to a private balcony. The home's four bedrooms are split across two levels with 3 upstairs and 1 downstairs.

  • Bedroom 1: lower level, queen bed, garden views, walk-out access to the wrap-around veranda, ensuite with shower bath.
  • Bedroom 2: primary suite, upper level, king bed, waterfront views, SmartTV, vaulted ceilings, walk-out access to a private balcony, walk-in closet, ensuite with dual vanity, soaking bathtub with water views, plus a separate shower with water wand, shower bench, and rainfall showerhead. 
  • Bedroom 3: upper level, two twin beds, cushioned window seat, vaulted ceilings, closet, shares adjacent hall bathroom with double vanity and shower; twin beds can be fitted into a king bed upon request. 
  • Bedroom 4: upper level, king bed, cushioned window seat, vaulted ceilings, closet, shares adjacent hall bathroom with double vanity and shower.
  • Additional sleeping: lower level den with king tempur-pedic sleeper sofa.

 Two cozy dens, each with SmartTVs and Sonos sound, give everyone room to spread out—movie night downstairs, quiet reading upstairs—while the great room's wall of glass keeps the pool and cove in view no matter where you're sitting.

You're also close to everything without needing to go far. Kayaks are availble to rent and launch from your private dock, for lazy daytime paddles or an after-dark tour. Kai-Yak Cove sits on the island's bioluminescent bay, so on moonless nights, you can paddle out and watch the water glow up around you. It's the kind of experience you'll still be talking about long after you're home.

Cruiser bicycles are availabe for rent too, making it easy to reach the Kaibo and the newly renovated Rum Point Club for beachfront dining, boozy drinks, and watersports. For something quieter, the low-key, uncrowded sands of Starfish Point are a short ride away.

Beach Notes

The entire island is only 22 miles wide from west to east, so you are never too far from anywhere on Grand Cayman.

The cove-front homes in Cayman Kai offer serene waters for docking a rental boat, charter boat pick-up and drop-off, plus kayaking or paddle boarding with no waves.  

The cove is locally referred to as Bioluminescent Bay, one of the few throughout the world and one of the island's most popular night-time tourist attractions. On a moonless night, guests can launch kayaks off the villa's dock for a bio-tour of the glowing phytoplankton—an experience not to be missed!

All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically "public", in that you can swim anywhere along the coast, even behind the Ritz-Carlton! 

The big draw to this area is the proximity to the Rum Point Club, a public beach club that offers a fantastic barefoot beach, water sports, restaurants, a gift shop, and pick-up beach volleyball games.

Also nearby is the Kaibo Yacht Club featuring a fine dining restaurant, a casual beach bar and grill, and a marina. Ferry service to Camana Bay departs from the Kaibo Marina, perfect for day trips to Seven Mile Beach!

Overall, Cayman Kai is a fabulous neighborhood dotted with million-dollar oceanfront villas and sweeping tropical views.

The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.

Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed

Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally.

Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival. 

Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation.

Absolutely beautiful. We loved the area! House and pool are beautiful. We enjoyed the kayaks and dock. The bioluminescence at night was fantastic! Walk across the street and the Oceanview is great. Either walk or drive about a block and a half and you're at a public beach. We swam with stingrays in that area! Right around the corner is a restaurant and marina where you can relax and enjoy the coastal vibe. Great communication with property manager. She answers you through WhatsApp which is convenient. Amenities in the house are great. Beds and furniture are comfortable. Bathrooms/shower/tub are nice. If we visit Grand Cayman in the future, we will definitely see if this property is available!

This was the best vacation ever! The house was amazing! Home owner was equally as amazing! You really wouldn't have to go anywhere because the house, pool, hot tub, bay and a short walk to the Rum Point beach relax and swim or eat!!!! Can't say enough good things about this experience!!!!!

Our family had an incredible stay at Kai-Yak cove. The home was breathtaking.. it was new, modern and spotless. The home was well cared for and had everything needed in order to make our vacation enjoyable. This home is located in a quiet part of the island on the Bio bay. The views of the bay and the ocean were breathtaking. We loved being right on the water, and used the kayaks daily! The sound system, pool, wrap-around deck and fully stocked kitchen are just some of the other things we enjoyed during our stay. And our host was extremely responsive and hospitable. We will definitely return to Kai-Yak cove!

This property is gorgeous! Every detail of the house is exceptional! Comfortable, close to the beach, coffee, and restaurants. We paid for spa heat and enjoyed it everyday. The weather was perfect to enjoy the outdoor space this house provides with its large covered porch areas. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!

The house is beautiful. The location is perfect for relaxing by the pool. The bioluminescent bay is stunning. There is the mini sand bar just off the public beach access which is perfect to see stingrays. We would stay here again at the drop of a hat. The hosts are super accommodating and helpful from directions to restaurant recommendations. Thank you Jennifer, and Cayman Villas and Condos for making our stay super comfortable.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful property with our family. We had an amazing trip starting with this amazing property. The photos do no justice to the beauty of the home. Each room had plenty of space for people to spread out. Two dens gave space to guests wanting a different night time option. The beds were perfect, The kitchen had everything we could want. We kayaked and paddle boarded off the beach every day. The bio bay was stunning - no words can describe the beauty of the bioluminescence. Locationwise, the home is a short walk to Rum Point which has been renovated since we last cane to GC. Highly recommend this property to anyone considering. TYTY

Kai-yak Cove is a charming island style house in pristine condition. It was the perfect choice for a family reunion with a toddler. We also enjoyed the lovely dock design and being on the bioluminescent bay. We were a large group so we reached out to get approval for the sleeping arrangements and it all worked out very well. Photos do no justice to this property. We will be back and highly recommend to anyone considering a rental.

We selected this home based on the size (there were 7 of us), quiet location, private pool and beach, and access to a local Beach Club. The villa did not disappoint! It was new, very clean and was beautifully appointed with furnishings. The beds and linens were comfortable and the kitchen included everything we needed to cook meals. The huge ice maker and extra refrigerator outside by the pool was perfect for drinks. Jennifer was a great host providing lots of information on the house before we arrived so we were prepared. She was very communicative and easy to reach during our stay when we had questions or needed suggestions on places to go. Rum Point Beach Club is a 5 min walk down the street and offers food, drinks, chairs, umbrellas and a nice swimming area. Our vacation was fantastic, we all loved kai-Yak Cove and we cant wait to return!

The listing for Kai-Yak Cove makes you want to come to check it out. The house itself makes you want to stay and return! This was our first trip to Grand Cayman. We spent 9 days on the quiet side of the island and loved it. The house is well appointed, meticulously well thought out, and very impressive. We loved the pool, especially in the shade of the afternoon, and all the outdoor space. Inside was extremely comfortable. You\'re steps away from the bioluminescence bay and a mile away from Star Fish Point. Be sure to check out the options for Sting Ray City and all the various outdoors activities. The owner was great to work with and was in contact early regarding check-in and was nice enough to make several helpful suggestions. You\'ll get lost in reading the reviews and debating between houses, but this one is a no-brainer!

This is my first review - ever - and first house rental, ever. My family of three spent a week at Kai-Yak Cove, our first time to the Caribbean. We're very particular about the details anywhere we stay. You simply will not believe the expert craftsmanship of this new, traditional Caymanian villa. It's not just that the property manager (who was very attentive and thoughtful) thought of everything, but is a multi-generation Caymanian who is clearly passionate about this home and doing things right. Yes, it's not on the strip, but rather in the serene and beautiful area of Cayman Kai. The outdoor kitchen/grill was fantastic, we ate at Kaibo a couple nights (literally about a mile from the house), the pool was immaculate, and the wrap around veranda was peaceful. Hurley's delivered twice - excellent option since it's 30 minute drive (good organic section too) and a local grocery store had essentials and decent wine/liquor. The Crystal Caves and a private boat charter (picked us up on our private pier) were the highlights and musts...and about all we did other than enjoy this wonderful home. What a great experience - thank you!

This immaculate home is located away from the hustle and bustle of the busy life, right on the bioluminescence bay (magic!). The photos of the home are beautiful, but be prepare to be even more dazzled once you arrive and settle in. The views and pool/spa make it so you truly don\'t want to leave home. The host was very responsive, provided helpful tips, and written instructions/directions throughout the home. I recommend taking advantage of a private chef/cook so you can enjoy dinner at home, visiting the nearby Crystal Caves, taking a private boat charter (right from the dock of the house) to Stingray city/snorkeling/mangroves, or take a fishing charter from nearby the Kaibo dock. Overall, my friends and family and I had a perfect getaway.

Pictures do not do this Villa justice. It is decorated beautifully! It\'s like coming home. The location is beautiful and so peaceful, morning coffee on the patio does not get any better! Absolutely spotless! The owner was wonderful and communicated very early on about the arrival procedures. She even came on Saturday so we could have groceries delivered to the house before we arrived. She was also in contact with us during the week to see if we needed anything. We used Silver Thatch for kayak rentals that were delivered to the Villa, and also a boat to take us snorkeling with the stingrays. Highly recommend stingray island! Very cool! The Villa location was very convenient for the boat to pick up, they were able to get us right on the villa dock. Captain Warren was wonderful!!! We had dinner at Kaibo Beach nearby which was very enjoyable, right on the beach. The only negative was that we had to leave. lol

This new home in the best part of Cayman is a gem for even the most discerning traveler. Pristine inside, beautiful decor, relaxing pool, gorgeous sunrise views over the lagoon. You can be very active or just chill. Every need has been considered for renters, and the owners’ love and care for the home is evident. Kai-Yak Cove is a treasure in fabulous Cayman Kai

  • Shorter stays may be permitted but subject to a higher cleaning fee. 
  • Must be 25 years or older to book and must occupy the property during the entire stay.

Villa Cleaning & Sanitation

All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products.

Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival.

Getting Around

A rental car is highly recommended. Taxi cabs are unreliable and expensive outside of town and Seven Mile Beach. Plus, there is no Uber or Lyft on the island. 

For rental cars, we recommend Budget Cayman, Avis, or Marshalls.
