Beach Notes
The beach behind Great Bluff Estates is both pebbly and sandy. It is by no means a barefoot beach as the beach here is reef protected which creates a marine environment of corals and grasses for all of our marine life to live in! Please wear pool shoes or swim fins when in the water and be mindful not to damage the corals.
The snorkeling here is superb, as there are never many snorkelers in the water to spook the rays, tarpon, grouper, juvenile schools, etc. We often see eagle rays swimming by from the pool deck...as well as lines of squid out near the reef.
If you want a barefoot beach for swimming, we have two large resorts in the east end only 10 minutes from us that are both open to the public, have restaurants, bars, watersports, etc.

The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.
Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed
Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally.
Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival.
Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation.

Truly Lovely Rental Home
A truly lovely rental home right on the water. Each bedroom is a suite, having its own private bathroom. There are many areas inside and out to lounge, and family can spread out into these different areas if privacy is desired.
Making memories!
Great Bluff Estates was the perfect place for our family of 11 (kids and grandkids) to spend Thanksgiving week together! The villa was beautiful and had every amenity imaginable! We loved that there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out with the multiple gathering spaces. We cooked many meals while there and could not have asked for a more well-appointed kitchen. Again, we loved the villa and all that it had to offer. Thanks to the staff for making our experience easy — from booking, to recommendations of area attractions, to the check- in and check-out process!

Wonderful vacation spot!
This villa was perfect for our annual “friends vacation”. We had nine adults. The view of the ocean from inside or out was spectacular. The furniture was all comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked (we loved having a waffle maker). The outdoor area was perfect because it also offered shady areas on the pool deck. We were pleasantly surprised by the home gym and used it daily. This was our third trip to Grand Cayman but our first time staying away from Seven Mile Beach. We enjoyed the slower pace and discovered a new favorite beach at Rum Point.
Paradise in every way
Wow! Our stay at Great Bluff Estates was truly Paradise. We had our whole family for a week and everything was first class all the way. So much right at our villa, a hot tub, pool, gym, all the terraces and snorkeling right off the property too. We ordered groceries to be delivered and they we here and all in the fridge if needed. It was a vacation to dream about and we loved every second. Treat your family and friends to a stay they will be talking about for years to come.
Outstanding and Amazingly Beautiful
This property was outstanding and absolutely beautiful. We had a family of 12 people which included 4 children under 10 years old, and everyone had a comfortable bedroom. The property looks just like the pictures. If you\'re looking for a nice secluded spot in Grand Cayman this is the place to stay. There were plenty of beach towels and the views of the ocean were breathtaking. It came with complimentary snorkeling gear and a couple of two-person kayaks. The home is beautifully decorated and the master suite is fit for a king. From the heated pool to the amazing hot tub and the multiple porches, this property has everything you could want. There is a grocery store and good restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting peace and quiet on the island and traveling with a large group. Can’t wait to go back one day.

We were there with friends and had a wonderful time. The owners thought of everything!! The home was gorgeous and comfortable for 12. Lots of amenities and outdoor spaces to enjoy. We snorkeled right out in front of the house. I would advise that you rent a car as it is somewhat remote but the island is small. We hope to visit again!!

Fantastic stay at Great Bluff Estates.
This was our 4th stay on Grand Cayman. We have stayed in 3 different Villas previously (all through Grand Cayman Villas and Condos). This trip our group totaled 11 so Great Bluff Estates seemed a good size to accommodate us all.
Booking: as always booking with Grand Cayman Villas was an easy process. The website is full of information and has good descriptions and photos of each property. All our emails were answered promptly. Reserving the villa, all paperwork and payment was easily handled online.
The villa: Great Bluff Estate was the perfect size for us. Many indoor and outdoor common areas to spread out and relax in. The bedrooms were spacious .kitchen and dining areas were very spacious and well equipped. There were even beverage and wine refrigerators which were very handy.
The pool was a good size with plenty of adjacent seating areas . To get out of the sun there were multiple covered areas with seating.
There was easy access down a few steps to the ocean . Directly in front of and also to the left of the house we found close by reefs for snorkeling with many fish and large corals.
We met our on island property manager ( Angella) at the house shortly after we arrived (she was doing a final inspection after the cleaners had finished ) she was able to answer all our questions and was very responsive later on when we had a few additional questions.)
We used Beach house Butlers to prestock the house with food and drink prior to our arrival. That was well worth it!

We did multiple scuba dives with Ocean Frontiers. They are a well organized and professional PADI dive company on the East end. We did a refresher. course and multiple dives with them.
Dinners at Eagle Rays, Over the edge, and Kaibo were all great and were able to accommodate our large group with ease.
Brunch at Tukka was awesome..
We rented cars from Marshall’s (they had good rates and availability.)
Wonderful Time!
My family of 8 had a wonderful time. The villa was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with every appliance imaginable. The rooms were all spacious and there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. The outdoor space was exceptional, which made us want to just stay at the villa and enjoy all the amenities. My family would gladly stay again.
Recommend for a Large Group
Absolutely stunning property with all the perfect amenities! This was a perfect house for a large group and was set in a perfect location to travel from. With just a short trip to Rum Point or Georgetown it was set just far enough away from all the traffic of downtown! We will always recommend this place to anyone who is traveling to Grand Cayman.

The Estates were amazing! Wry spacious and well designed with plenty of open area, views of ocean, large bedrooms and kitchen. Looks just like the photos and we were impressed with the snorkeling right from the house; coral reefs with lots of fish. Pool and outdoor lighting and seating was such a treat in the mornings and evenings. We will definitely return.

We had a wonderful week at Great Bluff Estates. The house was more than we could have ever imagined!
Outstanding property
We stayed for three weeks and invited seven guests to join us for two weeks. The owner takes care to ensure customers have what they need for a great holiday. He provided umbrellas when we wanted more shade and installed three safes when we asked for one. The property is large and well maintained with top of the range
facilities. The manager is on call at all times and she is most helpful.
There are limited dining options nearby but the Italian Kitchen and Tukka are excellent and in time the Lighthouse and Rum Point will reopen.
We have visited the island many times since 1990 but this was our first time away from Seven Mile Beach. It is peaceful and remote but our first-time visitor guests had no problem exploring the whole island. We have booked another four weeks next year.
Great bluff estate
We were here for a month- and had friends coming and going throughout.
The house is very thoughtfully designed to have plenty of sunny and shady and indoor space for a variety of small groups while Also having spaces large enough for us all to be together (which sometimes doesn’t happen in vacation homes which tend to maximize bedrooms but not common areas).
At times we had several people on work calls simultaneously throughout the house… but could seat 10 people around a table for dinner or on couches for a movie.
We arranged for a private chef and housekeeping twice a week which was wonderful.
You can’t beat the view and really never need to leave the house to have a wonderful vacation. Having said that, my husband dove about 4x / week and we explored the island and did some excursions. We did have a car and encouraged our guests to rent cars as well as this part of the island is very quiet and taxis hard to come by. The cars were essential.

Great Bluff Estates
Great house for 8 people for a week - well appointed kitchen. We enjoyed our stay very much. Cleaning crew did a great job, the artwork in the house is amazing, concierge service was helpful, of all the places we tried it had best snorkeling spots right off the shore, everything was great!

Recommend - Would Stay Here Again!
This property was truly amazing to stay at. We had a group of 8 people with us and the accommodations were amazing. If you\'re looking for a nice secluded spot in Grand Cayman this is the place to stay. There were plenty of beach towels for our use and the fact that they had a wine fridge helped a lot so we didn\'t need to make multiple trips to the liquor store. The house was beautifully decorated too which really added to the asthetics of the location. Snorkeling was great from the property too, just a hundred yards from shore are some nice reefs with lots of coral and fish. A lot of beautiful outdoor space to lounge at too. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting peace and quiet on the island and traveling with a large group. Good restaurants within 5-20 minutes from the house. 100% would stay here again.
Outstanding villa
We were celebrating several big milestone birthdays with 5 couples and had the most spectacular vacation in the Grand Caymans. We were exceptionally impressed with the beautiful villa at Great Bluffs Estates. The property was even more stunning than the pictures!! The grounds, pool and private ocean front property were immaculate! We had every amenity that we needed from beach towels, laundry facilities and a beautiful kitchen with fabulous appliances, modern table settings and cookware. The master bedroom is stunning with a beautiful, large bathroom and balcony. The other 4 bedrooms all have their own private baths which was ideal for 5 couples or families traveling. We had exceptional assistance from Silver Thatch guest services who booked several excursions, provided free snorkel equipment and helped arranged food delivery services. We booked two private excursions to Stingray Island and a sunset cruise to Cabana Beach for dinner. Our experience with Great Bluffs Estates was simply awesome!!!! We cannot wait to come back!!
The House That Has Everything For A Perfect Vacation
From initial rental and conversations with Scott, the arrival team that welcomed us, to the property manager Angella and her team; we were treated with the finest customer care and service. Great Bluffs had all we needed to experience a perfect vacation. Aside from being immaculate; the views, pool, snorkeling and house had everything we needed to make a fabulous life time experience for my entire family. We celebrated a 54th wedding anniversary and a 50th Birthday while we were there and couldn’t have dreamed of a better place to spend it! Can’t say enough about the quality of treatment, 1st class amenities, cleanliness, and the kitchen had everything a pampered chef needed from hardware to appliances! Thank you guys for making our vacation so special and memories we will cherish for a lifetime !
Outstanding!
Our group of nine completely enjoyed our stay at Great Bluff Estates! The views were spectacular, you can\'t ask for anything better. We all enjoyed snorkeling every day off the beach at the property and saw so many amazing sea creatures. We cooked in most nights and the kitchen had a great variety of appliances to use. The house had many different seating areas. We could all be in the same room enjoying different activities but still feel like we were together. We also enjoyed the variety of outdoor living spaces. We enjoyed our week so much that we have already booked a return trip.
Paradise
Great Bluff Estates was a paradise, just as it shows in the listing. The pictures don\'t do it justice. The location and home were like a scene in a movie. We enjoyed the amenities of the home and the local attractions. The property management team provided excellent service and the use of technology to book and manage the reservation makes it a complete package. The welcome package you receive provides important information on how to be safe while you are in the Cayman Islands. Even though it\'s a paradise to us, it\'s home to many islanders and safety is something that should always be on your mind as you enjoy your time there. Always lock your doors and use common sense while on the property and off-site enjoying the island.

Perfection - Home and Location
We loved the photos online of Great Bluff, and we were stunned when we walked through the front door! This home far exceeds photos and online description. We travel frequently around the Caribbean, and we have never stayed in a home this lovely. Everything thoughtfully laid out. No corners cut. Bedrooms were large, living area is huge, the balconies and decks were enormous. Having the two covered gazebos was a treat - use the lower one during the day and upper one at night! Short drive to east end beaches, grocery, great restaurants - Tukka and Italian Kitchen and Taco Cantina!

Wow Factor!
Great Bluff had everything we were looking for in a home. Very large open spaces to congregate inside and out, large pool, private beach, snorkeling, kayaking, near restaurants/grocery/activities, etc.
The bedrooms worked out perfectly as we had 8 adults and 2 children. Each bedroom was nicely decorated and it is obvious the owner takes great pride in the home!

New Years at Great Bluff
We had two families who travel frequently share Great Bluff. We could not have been happier with our selection and would choose the same home again! The pictures are true and accurate. The view is stunning. Nice snorkeling, Great location.

Great Home
Loved Great Bluff! Beautiful views and big enough for 2 fams. Couldn\'t believe how beautiful it was at night. Lit all the torches and took some great family pics. The kids never wanted to leave the Rum Point Club, but were happy to come back to Great Bluff everyday. All in all a perfect trip. We will be back for sure.
HGTV Worthy
LOVED THIS HOME! We\'ve been to Cayman Islands multiple times for vacations, but this house is BY FAR our favorite. The gorgeous views mixed with the high ceilings and contemporary design make for a HGTV worthy home! We couldn\'t get enough of the pool and patios. Also LOVED The Czech Inn Grill. Get the ribs!! You\'ll thank me for it! And for the adults, there is a outdoor bar area perfect for nightcaps! This house is everything we wanted and more! See you next year Great Bluff 🙂
Our Most Amazing Visit to Grand Cayman Yet
On the North Side, we have stayed at several properties – Great Bluff Estates is the absolute best place we have stayed, hands down. Booking through Grand Cayman Villas was very easy and they provided an abundance of information leading up to our stay. The property manger (Ms. Spence) was accommodating for delivery of food and spirits to the house on the day of our arrival. She was present when the first of our 9-group party arrived at the house and provided them with a tour of the property and overview of the amenities. She was also available by text and phone if any problems arose during the week; however, we never needed to contact her. Great Bluff Estates is an amazing house and we were all sad to leave after our week-long stay. The home is relatively new and expansive, with 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. The kitchen is a chef’s dream given the quality and availability of cookware and cutlery. Family meals at the massive dining table were a real treat that inspired many memorable conversations. The couches in the Family Room were extremely comfortable and It felt as if there was enough seating to accommodate twice the number of people we had. The outdoor spaces this house has to offer are truly amazing. The pool tended to be the major point of congregation during the week. The rubble beach and waves breaking on the reef in the distance suggested excellent snorkeling and Great Bluff Estates did not disappoint. Don’t pass up the rocking chairs in the cabana just off the beach. It is the perfect place for a heartfelt conversation or consumption of a good book. During our stay we enjoyed diving with White Sand Water Sports. If you stay here you must eat at Kaibo (both downstairs and upstairs) as well as Tukka. Call ahead for Kaibo (upstairs) and Tukka. Red Sail Sports never fails for Stingray City, but you may get a more intimate outing with White Sand Water Sports. Also, don’t miss the blow holes and the botanical gardens while you are on the East Side.
Great Snorkeling
This house is just....WOW. We loved our stay so much at Great Bluff Estates. We didn\'t want to leave! The kids are already talking about wanting to come back next year. The area is great for snorkeling and kayaking but you need water shoes cause of the pebbly beach. We did that almost everyday! When we weren\'t in the ocean we were lounging by the huge pool. The patio is perfect for a sunset cocktail and to hear the ocean at night. Also loved the high vaulted ceilings inside. We spent most of our time outside but the interior is really just as nice as the outside! You\'ll love it here.
Hidden Gem
I feel in love with this place as soon as we pulled into the driveway! Great Bluff was beautiful and was a perfect fit for our group of 9. We enjoyed sitting by the pool and the relaxing in the gazebo below. My husband even slept on the hammock one night. The art in the house was stunning and we even asked the owner where we could get copies of them. Our teenagers rented tandem kayaks with Silver Thatch and they went out almost every day. I enjoyed sunbathing on the terraces while the family went snorkeling with George. This is a trip that we will never forget! We ate out almost every night, Tukka was our most favorite. Ron is a HOOT! Twelve of us enjoyed every second of our week in Great Bluff Estates. The views are spectacular. The outdoor areaS are phenomenal. The pool is perfect. And the house is definitely made to feel like HOME! Every detail is taken care of. And Angella was great! She checked on us several times to make sure we had everything/anything we needed! It’s a great location, away from the hustle of Seven Mile, but minutes away from Rum Point and Kaibo (which we thoroughly enjoyed!) and several excellent restaurants a short drive away! We wanted to stay longer! (And plan on doing so next time!)
Gorgeous Home
This house is gorgeous! The second you walk in you\'ll be blown away. The interior is beautiful and so is the exterior AND so is the pool AND patios, it is all just stunning. We kayaked behind the house and had an awesome time. We enjoyed the privacy in the East End, but we found it was necessary to rent a car. Don\'t miss out on The Lighthouse!! Some of the best desserts you\'ll ever eat. Can\'t go wrong with this house!
Amazing Views!
Every room seems to have an amazing view of the ocean. We loved the contemporary design of the interior. Felt like we were in a house from a magazine! The beach is pebbly but there is great snorkeling! If you have water shoes then you\'ll be fine swimming there too! We had a chef come in and cook one night and I recommend it 1000 times over!! Snorkel charter with George was also a big hit with the group. Overall, loved this house and the memories made in it.

I really wish I was not writing a review right now because I do not want to leave Great Bluff. This house was not like anything I had stayed in before. I felt like I was on an episode of Cribs in some celebrities luxurious home. The home is contemporary with beautiful vaulted ceilings! We loved being able to have big family dinners at the kitchen table with all of us sitting together. There are three different levels to the outside area and it just felt so fancy. There was even a bar!! The pool was big and we could all hang out around/in it whenever we wanted. There was always a nice breeze, but not very windy. The beach was so nice and it was awesome to be able to snorkel right behind the house. Thank you for opening your home to our family! I will make sure that we come back next year.
Absolutely Perfect
We stayed at Great Bluff Estate for Spring Break with our family of 10 beginning March 24. Words can not begin to describe this property. Understanding it was a new renovation home, our expectations included having minor issues - and we had none. Smooth week as can be. The checkin process was seamless and the home was immaculate. You can tell the owners take great pride in the home. The moment you walk into the home you are awed by the size of the living area and the ocean views! The kitchen was stocked with all cooking needs, the furniture throughout the home was comfortable and tasteful. The bedrooms were larger than we expected, plush, quiet and private. The exterior patios overlooking the ocean are massive. Views from several locations - balconies, decks, gazebos, pool! Just eye popping pretty. The flow down to the beach is easy and the sitting area by the beach is wonderful. With pool shoes and snorkel fins, we enjoyed the beach and the water every day. The snorkeling was fantastic! Thousands of fish, some spiny lobsters, couple small sea turtles, and we think, some squid... The water was never rough dur]e to the coral reef. We also enjoyed the peaceful, private location. We did not see anyone on the beach the entire stay. The home is close to sandy beaches in the east end and 15 minutes to Rum Point as well, so we never felt like we were too remote. Dinners - Tukka, Lighthouse, Italian Kitchen and Rum Point were fantastic. We are in a few nights as well. Our week just went by too fast! We can not wait to plan another trip back - and we will be staying at Great Bluff again!!!

Springtime in Grand Cayman!
Thank you for sharing your home with our two families for our spring trip. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed every part of our stay. The kids played in the pool, on the beach and in the water every day. We rented two kayaks which the kids and adults used every day as well. The thatched verandas were perfect for afternoon shade and evening cocktails. We loved the spacious living/dining and kitchen area! The open format and vaulted ceiling made the home comfy and we never felt cramped. Pictures do not do full justice to Great Bluff Estates. Neither will this review. All I can say is this is by far the nicest home we have rented in 15+ years coming to the Caribbean.. We will be back again to Grand Cayman and highly recommend Great Bluff for 1-2 families, adults, children, everyone!!!

Booking Rules
- 5-night minimum stay required (but stays less than 7 nights cannot include Saturday nights).
- 6 nights minimum and full occupancy required over Thanksgiving week.
- 7 nights minimum and full occupancy required over Christmas and New Year's week.
- Christmas & New Year's dates are split into two rental periods. Please inquire with your travel dates prior to booking.
- Shorter stays may be available but subject to a higher cleaning fee. Please inquire before booking.
- Minimum 25 years or older to lease and must occupy the home during entire stay.
- No weddings or events please.
Villa Cleaning & Sanitation
All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products.
Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival.

Getting Around
A rental car is highly recommended. Taxi cabs are unreliable and expensive outside of town and Seven Mile Beach. Plus, there is no Uber or Lyft on the island.
For rental cars, we recommend Budget Cayman, Avis, or Marshalls.
