Cayman Sands is an oceanfront villa in Old Man Bay along the north coast. With an open, one-story design, Cayman Sands offers guests an intimate experience across 4,000 sq ft. of living space.
The main house features 4-bedroom suites with attached baths that have been completely re-tiled and renovated. Both oceanfront suites have walkout access to either the screened pool atrium or the sun deck. Cayman Sands was thoughtfully designed to be opened up on cool winter nights when air conditioning isn't necessary.
The freshwater pool is protected by a screened atrium keeping local wildlife and insects at bay from ruining your stay. Optional pool heat is available in the winter months for an additional $35/Day surcharge. The pool atrium comes furnished with a sectional sofa and dining table perfect for evening cocktails or outdoor dining.
The view of the large sandy beach is framed by the two wings of the house, an oceanfront gazebo, and two hammocks ideal for long afternoons relaxing with a book or simply enjoying the views.
An oceanfront vaulted great room floods the villa with natural light and stunning views through 30 feet of sliding glass doors. A recently upgraded kitchen offers all the modern appliances you would expect, as well as dishware, cookware, and cutlery.
The living area is furnished with a wall-mounted television, plush couches, and a sleeper sofa for small children only.

- Primary Suite: ocean views, king bed, desk + chair, walkout access to the pool atrium and sun deck, footpath to the ocean gazebo, ensuite with shower and water wand.
- Queen Suite: ocean views, queen bed, desk + chair, walkout access to the pool atrium and sun deck, ensuite with shower.
- Twin Suite: garden views, 2 twin beds, ensuite with shower bath; Beds can be fitted into a king bed upon request.
- Bunk Suite: garden views, 2 sets of bunk beds, ensuite with a shower bath.
- Additional Sleeping: sleeper sofa in the TV den for small children only.
- Optional Guest Cottage: detached cottage, queen bed, kitchenette, television, screened porch, ensuite with shower.
The guest cottage is NEVER rented separately to unrelated guests during your stay--it is there if you need it.
Need more space? Cayman Sands can be rented in two configurations: as a 4-bedroom villa which includes the main house only for up to 12 guests (8 adults max), or as a 5-bedroom villa which includes the guest cottage for up to 14 guests (10 adults max) at the 5-bedroom rate.
Small tourist weddings are welcomed.

Amazing Stay!
Amazing stay in a beautiful location. Well stocked home, very clean. Just as good as the pictures!
Better Than the Photos
The Villa was better than the photos. It is very beautiful, well-laid out for a large family gathering: privacy but still togerther-ness. The North Side of the Caymans is different from 7 Mile Beach. Fewer sites and restaurants. Very quiet and private. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Great house and location
Cayman Sands was everything we were looking for our 50th wedding anniversary with our family of 8. It is large and comfortable and had everything we needed. The large sand beach was nice for relaxing, however the water is not easy to walk in due to rocks and coral. The gazebo gave relief from the July sun and was nice for early morning coffee. The location is ideal in relation to East End and Rum Point. The property manager gave quick response to the few concerns we had. I would recommend Cayman Sands for your Island vacation.
Spacious Villa with a Beautiful View
Cayman Sands was a spacious villa with a beautiful view for our 5 adult and 5 children group to all be together. We liked the privacy of being nestled into the neighborhood. The big open floor plan provided great space for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked with glassware, dish-ware, etc. Was great to have a washer /dryer and ice machine right in the unit. The beach was great for walking and looking for beautiful shells & sea glass (despite spots along the way sprinkled with bottle caps, broken plastic, etc that we collected for disposal). For swimming the beach was not suitable for young kids - right at the water line were lots of coral and some anemones tucked in. The adults easily accessed the water with kayaks provided with the villa and were able to snorkel right off the beach. The kids loved the pool! Loved the trees at the villa for forts climbing. Also went to various activities on the island to explore. Great variety of yummy restaurants and local cooks/chefs to hire.

Didn't Want to Leave
We loved this home. It was exactly like the pictures showed. The views were amazing. The screened in patio with the pool was fabulous. It allowed us to open doors and hear the waves at the beach while we slept. The kitchen had everything we needed. The washer and dryer were really helpful. We walked out along the beach and collected shells. It's not really a swimming beach but was amazing to have it in our back yard. It is in a very quiet and secluded area. It was very peaceful. We drove into George Town and 7 mile Beach on multiple days and it wasn't a bad drive. It was close to several good restaurants on the beach. We didn't want to leave and would stay here again.
Picture Perfect
Sometimes a PR photo does not adequately capture the property...in the case of Cayman Sands, it was perfect, if not understated. Beautiful home, pool, guest house and secluded beach. A perfect single level, large layout...handled our 10 guests, including 5 grandkids from adult to age 6, so well. Thank you for making it available.
Thoroughly Enjoyed Our Stay!
Our family of 13 ranging in age from almost 2 - 74 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This was our first visit to Grand Cayman. Unfortunately, the weather was lousy for most of our week…cloudy and rainy…so the pool came in handy. The skies were cloudy, but we enjoyed walking the beach and collecting conch shells, and we ended days in the pool. Tanya at check in was fantastic. She gave us restaurant recommendations which were excellent. Be sure to try Tim’s, the Falls Steakhouse, Ave on 7 mile beach, and Macabucu Tiki Bar. We did the Dolphin Discovery, Cayman Crystal Caves, swam with turtles at the Turtle Center, did the Bioluminescent Bay tour out of Rum Point, and did the Stingray City with Captain Marvin’s. All were amazing. All in all this was a wonderful Christmas/New Year’s vacation with our family. Highly recommend Cayman Sands. The property is beautiful. My daughter, son-in-law, and their baby really enjoyed having the guesthouse which gave them their own private space. 5 stars!!
Idyllic
The Property was everything that we anticipated inside and out and was in immaculate condition. Our time there was so relaxing, pool area magnificent, patio overlooking the beach/ocean awesome. Would recommend perhaps having some sort of table at the barbecue area as there wasn\'t anywhere to set down trays/utensils. Would also recommend having extra toilet rolls available as well as paper towel rolls, minor observations but these things are important unless one has the heads up to bring same. Found it a bit strange to have to pay $49 to have a KEURIG placed in the accommodation, the cleaning lady Sharon - super nice lady - opted to return this to the office on our behalf. We did chat with Thelda (the Property Manager) a couple of times and she was very accommodating and nice. We did not visit any of the restaurants as there really was no need for that, we had everything we needed and it was just too nice and relaxing to leave Cayman Sands during our five days. Special thanks to the Owners of Cayman Sands for allowing us to enjoy their superb home. Anyone looking to have one of the best experiences shouldn\'t hesitate to book at CAYMAN SANDS.
Wonderfully, Private Location
Cayman Sands is a wonderfully private location that was perfect for our family to share a vacation. I highly recommend this location for a family looking to get away from it all.
Northside Getaway
Our family group of 8 adults stayed at Cayman Sands for a week and enjoyed this home immensely! This is a great home for families with plenty of room for togetherness but also offers privacy. We had four couples so we used the cute guest house and had the twin beds in one bedroom made up as a king (surprisingly comfortable!) We did not use the bunk bed room but it would be great for kids. We enjoyed being on the north side as it was quieter and less commercial than the west/7 Mile Beach area. The pool was a great amenity, especially with the screen to keep away bugs. We had happy hour around the pool most every evening and enjoyed dinner in the gazebo our last evening. The beach had sargasso so not very swimmable, but having the pool more than made up for that. We also loved the icemaker--great for making margaritas! We cooked a few nights and appreciated the well-stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes and cookware. The home was clean, comfortable, and had good WiFi and tv, although we did not watch it much--too busy! Two different grocery stores and a liquor store were within a 10 minute drive. We used Sliver Thatch for scuba diving and were extremely pleased with their services from nearby Kaibo Marina. Other attractions close by were the Cayman Kayak bioluminescent tour, the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Botanical Gardens, the Blowholes, and the Parrot Sanctuary--all great. The Crystal Caves are also quite close, as is Starfish point--we did not do the Caves and we snorkeled Starfish point. 7 Mile Beach and Georgetown are 40 or so minutes away, so rent a car if you want to get there. We enjoyed several restaurants close by, especially Tukka. Rum Point was not yet reopened but not much to see there--looks like that's a work in progress at the moment. Overall, the home made our vacation very enjoyable for everyone.

We had a family of 7. Plenty of room! Great location! We were looking for something with less traffic/tourists, and we found everything we wanted here! Great location, and had easy access to the rest of the island! No complaints! 5 star experience throughout our stay!!

While on the quieter side of the island, this home is exactly what we were looking for. Snorkeling right off shore, extremely clean, super comfy beds and linens, screened in pool was great at sunset while the bugs were out. Highly recommended and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We had an excellent stay at Cayman Sands. The home offered a lot of privacy and was all stocked. The beautiful private beach and pool were fabulous. We would definitely stay again.

Everything at this property was as expected. It feels much like home, with the escape from reality out the back door. Clean, equipped, comfortable and very spacious for our whole family.
Spacious, quiet, excellent ocean front property with great management company!
Arrival procedures were well communicated in advance from basic details of accommodations to helping us plan arrival, groceries, activities, etc. Grand Cayman Villas and Condos is a very professional, personable organization. Tonya at Silver Thatch welcomed us. She made sure we were set for an excellent vacation being friendly and helpful not pushy. This combo of management company and staff takes away all the stress of home rental\'s. The villa was clean upon our arrival. The property matched the excellent photo\'s provided. We have rented 15 homes previously, and this villa is particularly well stocked in the kitchen with a large quantity of dishes, cups, pots, pans, pitchers, utensils, etc. The separate ice maker was much appreciated! Pool was warm and popular with the kids. The outdoor sectional in the pool area had cushions looking a little tired, but I imagine that is due being outside all the time. Plenty of other outdoor seating options. The property matched the excellent photo\'s provided. We had no issues with the villa during our stay. Some of our group did use the exercise facility at Silver Thatch.
Great Week in a Beautiful Villa!
Our group's vacation at Cayman Sands was a wonderful experience from start to finish. This is a beautiful location on a large sandy beach with great sunset views from the beachside gazebo. The villa itself is spacious, beautiful, well provisioned and very well maintained with a functional layout that maximizes it's utility. The pool and lanai furniture were great as well. The owner's overall attention to detail is evident throughout. In addition, the staff at Grand Cayman Villas was always very helpful - responsive and attentive throughout the experience. I have rented homes like this many times in my life, and this experience ranks near the top of that list. Would definitely do it again!

Cayman Sands
The house was perfect for our three generation family vacation. Having the pool was a wonderful. Grandkids spent every free moment in it. House was clean, and well equipped. Thelda , the property manager, met our pre arrival grocery delivery and always responded to our questions before the trip. The staff at Silver Thatch were very welcoming and provided our snorkel gear- even kids sizes. We will be back!! Thanks to Scott and Jim for assisting in the planning.

Cayman Sands Review
Our extended family of 11 had a FANTASTIC stay at the Cayman Sands! The property was in excellent condition, easy to find, safe, right on the beach, good snorkeling (but a bit tricky getting in), with excellent amenities. The support team from Grand Cayman Villas and Condos were outstanding and helped us out as soon as we first arrived. We had a X-mas dinner at the Wharf Restaurant in Georgetown and that too, was exceptional. Great time!
Best Family Vacation We've Had In A Long Time
Overall it's a great property and given the size of Grand Cayman there really is no inconvenient place to be. We were close to the management office for use of gym and booking excursions. We were also convenient to restaurants and the Kaibo Yacht club for diving and snorkeling. The drive across the island to the West side for activities was only 45 minutes so that wasn't bad either. Property was very clean and nice and very comfortable. The AC on one side of the house stopped working our second day, but the owner noticed before the management company and had it fixed the next day. We were very happy with the response. We are already looking into the possibility of returning to this very same location.
Amazing House!
Overall, this house was wonderful. If was very spacious and had very nice decor. We loved staying on the North Shore and it was quiet and beautiful. Awesome to sit in the screen in porch at night and listen to the waves. The house was fully equipped with everything you need. Everything was clean and up to date. Beach is beautiful but a bit rocky getting into the water. Water shoes are a must. When we arrived, one of the A/C units was not working properly and after I called, they had someone come out within an hour. These things are going to happen when you are in a house and I was very pleased with their responsiveness. We would definitely stay here again. Wonderful house and very responsive property manager.

Grand Cayman Villas
Cayman Sands - Private, Quiet and Great Location
Property Itself. It was outstanding...probably the nicest home we have rented during our many trips to the Caribbean. The rooms were spacious; amenities were great; the screen enclosed pool was a big hit; the view was beautiful; and we liked the privacy and quietness of the location. We could not get the safe in the master bedroom to work even after contacting the property manager. And, finally, an umbrella in the pool area would be a nice addition. There\'s no shade here during the midday timeframe. Booking Process. You made it easy for me. Your heads up regarding confusing messages from VRBO was helpful. The electronic contract signing process was easy. And, using a credit card for everything was convenient. Communications were very helpful and everyone responded with a smile. On Island Property Manager. We did contact her a few times for help with \'how to\'s\' and she responded very quickly with the needed info. Other. The diving experience with Silver Thatch Water Sports was very good and I gave them a good report on Trip Advisor. We used several restaurants in the area and found them all to be very accommodating especially since we had a large group (10 people). We did the bioluminescent tour, Stingray City tour and the Cave tour and enjoyed all of them. It was a fun week and we appreciate all the help from your team and the various businesses we worked with.
Beautiful Well Appointed Home
Such a beautiful well appointed home in a great location! Plenty of space. Beach and pool were great for two families with eight children between us. When the waves were calm we could snorkel from the beach using water shoes. There were 2 4-person kayaks for use as well. The house had everything, comfy beds, plenty of towels, even coolers and an ice machine to pack a picnic lunch. Location is good to head north to Rum Point or back across the island to Georgetown and 7 Mile Beach. Lots of restaurants a short drive away. Would definitely stay here again if we get the chance to go back to the Caymans.
Cayman Sands best view, best beach, best pool, best location and a comfy, clean, equipped, delightful house
We were a group of 4 couples. The house is laid out so perfectly for a big group with all kinds of open space so you never feel cramped. There are so many places to sit and lounge we could all gather and relax in every space - inside the house - on the pool deck - on the raised patio - on the beach - or in the gazebo there was seating for 12. The great room with kitchen, dining, entry/exit, living and den \'all in one\' is huge. The great room opens to the pool with sliding doors all across the sea side wall with the most amazing view of the beach and ocean. The house is in really good shape with nice furniture but not so nice you are afraid to live on it. The kitchen is well equipped - although I missed my Kuerig single serves - but the coffee pots both worked. We really appreciated the laundry and ice maker. A bathroom for every room is a big plus. If you want to be in the middle of the cruise crowd in town - this is not the place for you. BUT, if you are like us and want to have your own private beach and pool, bring your own party, make your own noise then Cayman Sands is the perfect place. Cayman Sands is a wonderful choice for a group of young couples or family with seniors to kids. The house is a single story and very accessible for those with access needs. There is even a boardwalk to the beach to get down to the ocean side gazebo. The pool is fully screened and enclosed to keep out the no-see-ums at sunset (the only time we saw any bugs). Booking is easy and secure. We had a couple of problems with the house we called and they were fixed immediately. Dining there are great options on the east end and at the Kai recommend doing the Sunday Brunch at the Lighthouse. Definitely go to Tukka\'s in the evening for dinner for a once in a lifetime chance to feed the birds then eat a fabulous meal. Kaibo for dinner - reservations for upstairs or eat on the beach level. Burgers and beach food at Cayman Kai is worth a day or night meal.
Great week in Cayman
We traveled to Grand Cayman last week and stayed at Cayman Sands. If you are looking for a great house with a pool and secluded beach this house is for you. We traveled with another family of four (8 total) and the house sets up perfectly with two master suites and separate bedroom on each side of the house so we each family really had their own space with family room, kitchen, and pool in the middle. For larger groups the guest house would also give and additional family private space. The house is very well stocked and has everything that you need for cooking, pool, beach, as well as several coolers, snorkel gear, etc. I also wanted to mention that the management company was great to work with for the entire trip. Due to flights over spring break they worked with us to move our stay from Saturday to Sunday. We used the complementary work out room at Silver Thatch quite a few times and also booked charter boats through them. Overall, both family's had a great time and we will certainly return in the future.
The house to beat
The house has set a new standard for my family and I am afraid I will have a hard time finding a house that compares with Cayman Sands. The layout of the rooms and the common areas were large and inviting. The property was very well maintained inside and out.
Great time with family and friends
The house was better than the pictures. It was very clean and comfortable. The sand was white, the gazebo had a nice breeze for the massages we had out there. The only negative was the beach entrance was rock and coral so not a good wade and stand spot but they totally enjoyed the kayaks. The house has some water shoes, that helped alot. It was about 30 to 45 minutes into 7 mile beach area.
Perfection!
We chose the Cayman Sands house for our family of 11 including three under 5 years old. The 2nd week we had a group of 8 adult friends. This house was perfect for both groups. The enclosed pool area was a wonderful gathering space. We also had our yoga teacher conduct morning yoga in there. It also was a great space when the chef set up our beach bbq and after dinner s\'mores. When we had questions, the house manager was quite responsive. We loved the restaurants nearby also! We had groceries and liquor delivered as well as some baby equipment. It was an amazing two weeks and we can\'t wait to return! We will definitely rent this house again! Thanks to Cayman Sands and all the people who had a hand in our fabulous trip.

Thanksgiving 2018
Cayman Sands was our home away from home for 2 weeks over Thanksgiving 2018. The house was perfect for our family. The outdoor space-pool, beach-was perfect for kids playing in the sand, sport activities, etc. Kayaks were a fun addition. The house itself fit our family of 11 including babies perfectly! Any call or concern to Silver Thatch or the house manager were answered practically before I hung up the phone and each of our requests were fulfilled with no problem! Very responsive and that is very reassuring when you are away from home. We also had the guest cottage and things were made perfect for us. Cayman Sands has a great team and we would love to rent this lovely home again!!! Thank you so much!
The Property Was Amazing!
The house was amazing and we enjoyed every minute. The owner was fantastic and made sure that if we needed anything, we were promptly taken care of. Couldn't ask for anything better. Definitely looking forward to coming back again.
Family Vacation 2018
This house was amazing! Had everything you could possibly need for a wonderful vacation away from home. Kayaks on the beach, life preservers, beach chairs, beach shoes, a hose for getting off the sand, beach towels, great screened-in pool set up. The kitchen had everything you could wish for to prepare meals for our family. They had a washer & dryer & an ice maker! Very considerate hosts. Can\'t say enough about how nice the house & cottage were. Perfect for our family of 10. Also, we were a little concerned that the location was far from the \'action\', but this proved to not be the case. Everything was easily reached. Oh, and the rental agency lent us coolers & swim fins for free!
2018 Family Vacation
This house was perfect for our family of 10. It was exactly as promised, but better. The house was amazing. The floor plan made it very comfortable for us. The very thoughtful owners provided everything we could wish for - kayaks, life preservers, beach chairs, beach towels, beach shoes, sun screen lotion, easy access with a code instead of a key. Oh, & to my delight -they provided nightlights in all the rooms! The kitchen had everything we could wish for to cook for our crew. They have a washer & dryer, and an ice maker. There were coolers, games for the kids, & books to read. The rental agency also was extremely helpful. They gave us coolers & swim fins to use for free! It was easy to book this reservation and very easy dealing with Grand Cayman Villas. We did a lot of snorkeling at the house and other beaches around the island. The blow hole was fun! We rented a catamaran (Sail with Friends) for a day & they took us to the sting rays & starfish! Very much fun! Restaurants were great-went to Tukka, Brassierie, Ray\'s Dive In, On the Edge, a food truck & the restaurant at Rum Point. All were very good! We also were able to do the Bioluminessence tour. Fabulous experience! This was one our best vacations!
Property was AWESOME!
The house was equipped with everything needed for a great time except the people to enjoy. The snorkeling out from the house was phenomenal. I highly recommend this property for a quiet getaway. Very relaxing. Perfect vacation!

Reservations - Grand Cayman Villas
Breathtaking Views!
Cayman Sands was the perfect escape for our family. From the moment you walk up to the front doors, you can see directly through the house and out to the ocean. The layout of the house and grounds was incredible...providing everyone with more that adequate room to spread out whenever we wanted. From the open concept living areas (including kitchen and dining) to the private bedroom areas, the design of the house is conducive to being together or being alone. And no detail has been left out...lots of beach towels, coolers for day excursions, dinnerware, outdoor furniture, etc. A lot of our time was spent in the gazebo either relaxing in the hammocks or eating meals. Right off shore is perfect kayaking, snorkeling or shore diving. Cayman Sands will definitely be a place that we will visit again!

The Andersen, Matson & McWilliams' families just returned from our Cayman vacation. Here are the words everyone used to describe the time we had on Grand Cayman and at the Cayman Sands. AMAZING, AWESOME, SPECTACULAR and the BEST vacation ever. Our party consisted of 12 people ranging from 5-74 and we had more than enough room to spread out and enjoy all this house had to offer. The kitchen was fully stocked with more than enough to accommodate a family of this size. The only thing that would have been a great addition to the kitchen was a slow cooker/crock pot so that you could make your meal in the morning and then play all day and come back to a delicious hot meal ready to eat. Truthfully, this house exceeded our expectation in all ways...it truly was PERFECT! If you have a large family and want to enjoy the peaceful beauty of the North Shore on Grand Cayman then Cayman Sands is the place for you.
Fantastic family vacation
Just arrived home from a week's vacation with our children and grandchildren and here are the words used to describe our time on Grand Cayman and Cayman Sands. AWESOME, AMAZING, FANTASTIC and BEST VACATION EVER. This property is large, spacious, CLEAN and well stocked. We were a party of 12 ranging in age from 5-74 and everyone had room to relax and have a great time. The kitchen had (almost) everything you could ask for. The only thing missing was a slow cooker/crock pot so you could prepare your dinner in the morning, explore the island during the day and come home to a hot meal ready to eat. We enjoyed staying on the North Shore because it was very peaceful and less congested than Georgetown. Rum Point has a fantastic beach with lots of activities for all ages. Stingray city, the Reef and Starfish Point are a must do....We recommend Crystal Seas Charters, they were awesome and truly went out of their way to give us a once in a lifetime experience...thanks Hayden & Jack!! Cannot give VRBO & Grand Cayman Villas enough kudos for the booking process and customer service they provided. Great companies to work with. Will use them again for future travels.
Perfect for our family
I meant to write before now. I wanted to tell you thank you. My family had such a good time in Grand Cayman. We were the ones who got bumped from St. Thomas because of the hurricane. You were my first point of contact and you were great as well as the recommendations you made. We loved the house on the quiet side and Rum Point was probably one of our favorite beaches. We did yoga with Lindsey, snorkeling and kayaking. All of it was fun. We took someone in our group to the airport a day early and drove around seven mile beach. It reinforced that the house you recommended was the right choice for us. We’ll be back!
Perfect privacy for 10
The owners attention to detail is excellent. Our stay acomodated all of us comfortably with total privacy. We enjoyed the homes open living & dining space, 4 bed/bath suites and overall layout. The proximity to Rum Point and area to run, ride bikes and use of kayaks was great. Thanks Scott for helping us choose this home.

Booking Rules
- 5 nights minimum stay required.
- 6 nights minimum and full occupancy required over Thanksgiving week.
- 7 nights minimum and full occupancy required over Christmas and New Year's week.
- Christmas & New Year's are split into two rental periods. Please inquire directly with your travel dates prior to booking.
- Shorter stays may be available but subject to a higher cleaning fee. Please inquire before booking.
- Must be 25 years or older to book and must occupy the property during the entire stay.
Villa Cleaning & Sanitation
All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products.
Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival.
