Welcome to Barefoot Kai, a sun-drenched 3-bedroom waterfront cottage that perfectly captures all the easy vibes of island living. Tucked away in the exclusive Cayman Kai neighborhood, this home is designed for families who want to kick off their flip flops and dive straight into vacation mode.
The heart of the home is its bright, open first floor, where the kitchen and living areas flow seamlessly into a 2-story screened patio—the ultimate spot for a breezy breakfast before wandering out onto the pool deck. The layout offers the perfect balance of connection and privacy with multiple lounging areas, complimentary wifi, and a HD television. The kitchen comes equipped with modern appliances, including cookware, dishware, glassware, and cutlery.
Outside, the spirit of the islands truly comes to life. You’ll have a double lot with 200 feet of your very own sandy backyard beachfront dotted with outdoor lounging furniture and a waterfront hammock perfect for siestas under the shade. Life here centers around the water with a private dock that's more than just a view above the waves. Enjoy use of the 2 tandem kayaks provided. Book a private charter with our friends at Silver Thatch Watersports and request dock service, picking up your crew right from home for a snorkel safari to Stingray City.
The outdoor experience continues with a professional-grade alfresco kitchen perfect for island cookouts. Newly built, the outdoor kitchen is equipped with a Blaze four-burner grill, a 40-inch flat top griddle, an ice maker, and refrigerated drawers to keep your drinks icy cold. Plan a home-cooked BBQ feast or hire a private chef for a gourmet surf-n-turf dinner.
With two bedroom suites upstairs with private balconies overlooking the water, the detached Cottage Suite provides a quiet sanctuary for grandparents or couples looking for a little extra space. We’ve even taken the stress out of packing for little ones by providing essential baby gear, including a Graco pack-n-play, a Baby Brezza formula maker, and a bottle sterilizer.

Amenities
Beach Notes
The entire island is only 22 miles wide from west to east, so you are never too far from anywhere on Grand Cayman.
The water behind Barefoot Kai is calm and serene, perfect for docking a rental boat, permitting charter boat pick-up, kayaking and paddleboarding.
The water is also shallow and has a soft muddy bottom. We recommend water shoes and entering the water from the dock. Barefoot swimming can be enjoyed at the Rum Point Club or Starfish Point, both within walking distance.
General Grand Cayman Beach Notes
All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically “public” since the Crown owns up to the high water mark.
The shoreline behind your property may vary seasonally. Be advised, that the beach or water entry behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to weather. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.
Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed
Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency in recent years. Although sargassum is an unsightly nuisance, it is largely seasonal in summer. It is VERY RARE in the Cayman Kai area.
Our owners do make efforts to remove sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival.

For rental cars, we recommend Budget Cayman, Avis, or Marshalls.
Day Tripping
Cayman Ferries operates daily water taxis departing from the Kaibo Marina to Camana Bay. Perfect for day trips to Seven Mile Beach or shopping excursions at Camana Bay.
