Welcome to SunRays, a newly built, luxury oceanfront estate located directly on a barefoot beach with calm waters and sunset views. This magnificent new villa lacks nothing and checks just about every box imaginable for a sumptuous island vacation. 

The vacation experience for our Luxury Platinum Collection villas begins with a group airport greeting by a professional chauffeur and a 28-seat mini-coach (7-night min stay). Our on-island hospitality team can coordinate the delivery of your rental vehicles to the villa in advance. The villa's driveway has plenty of off-street and covered parking for 4-5 vehicles. 

Located in the resort neighborhood of Cayman Kai, guests can expect very light vehicle traffic and short walking distances to the Rum Point Club and the Kaibo. A luxe beach dining destination, Kaibo provides casual beachfront dining or elegant fine dining across two restaurants. Kaibo also features watersport rentals and ferry service to Camana Bay for day trips. 

Pre-stocking the villa with groceries and beverages is also a popular choice by our guests, as is having our team coordinate in-villa dining with a private chef, or family-style cook, for a few nights. Brunch service can also be arranged. 

SunRays is a three-story villa measuring 7,200 square feet indoors with another 5,000 square feet of outdoor living and entertaining areas. 

The oceanfront lanai overlooks the pool and white-sandy beachfront with a private dock and putting green. Hone your chipping and putting game amid sunny oceanfront views.

The outdoor kitchen and dining area are screened. The pool and spa areas are elevated to offer privacy from any passersby on the beach as well as amazing sunset views at cocktail hour while sitting on the submerged bench seats in the pool or spa (the spa is heated Nov 15 - Apr 15).

SunRays offers privacy, luxury amenities, and convenience as well as a quintessential barefoot swimming beach and private dock all with on-island hospitality support.

Beach Notes

The beach behind SunRays is pure soft sand with barefoot entry into the shallow warm water. We have a sand bar out about 100 yards with ankle-deep water for frisbee or ball games.

The water here is usually very calm--the most beautiful cerulean blue just past the shoreline. We do have some seasonal soft grass in the water, but nothing to interrupt your enjoyment.

A private dock sits over a depth of about 2-3 feet to permit rental jet skis or a small boat to moor to the dock.

The sandy beach is sloped to provide privacy around the pool area from passersby, but also provides plenty of room for throwing a frisbee or football. Enjoy barefoot walks on the beach to the south, or a shorter walk north to the Rum Point Club (reopens March 2023) for watersports, fine dining, and beach vibes. 

General Grand Cayman Beach Notes

All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high water mark.

The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.

Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed

Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally.

Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival. 

Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation.

We try our best to work around mother nature.

 

 

Guests booking a 7-night stay will receive a warm airport welcome from a professional driver aboard a mini-coach transporting your entire group to and from the airport. 

7-night stays will also receive 1 mid-week light housekeeping visit to be scheduled with the property manager upon arrival (non-holidays). Cleaning teams will be on-site for 3-hours tidying up the villa. Shorter stays can purchase housekeeping blocks in 3-hour increments. 

All stays will receive dedicated concierge support to help arrange popular add-on services such as private chef dining, family-style catering, grocery delivery, massage services, yoga instruction, evening childcare services, private boat charters, and more!

We stayed at SunRays with 13 of my closest friends and family for my 30th birthday, and I truly could not have dreamed up a more perfect home or team for such a special week. From almost a YEAR before our arrival through every single day of the trip, Erica was there for anything and everything. I am severely Type A and spent that year emailing back and forth with questions, plans and probably a few minor spirals, and this queen was nothing short of exceptional. She helped us coordinate activities, transportation, food and drinks, charters and basically every moving piece of the trip. Anything that came up was immediately handled with so much grace, even when our biggest emergencies were rain delays and running out of alcohol. ? Erica also helped connect our group with Celebrations Ltd., who absolutely SMASHED IT with our private dinner settings and the most beautiful tropical flowers throughout the villa. I genuinely considered packing them in my suitcase until remembering that is agriculturally illegal ? And SunRays itself is HEAVEN ON EARTH. It was the perfect setting to swim, eat, dance, laugh and spend time together. Being able to pop down to Rum Point whenever we wanted was such a bonus, and somehow coming home to the villa every day was just as exciting as whatever adventure we had planned. By the end of the week, it genuinely felt like our home. I think the sounds of our laughter and singing are permanently etched into those walls. The house, location, Erica and entire team were top notch from every angle. They played such a huge part in making my 30th everything I could have hoped for. We left with very full hearts and absolutely zero desire to leave!!! Thank you for giving us a week we will never forget!! ??

This is, by far, the nicest villa we have rented throughout the Caribbean. 8 spacious bedrooms, huge kitchen and living area, amazing outdoor space and pool and a view like no other. Walk to restaurants. We had Chef Remy for a couple dinners and breakfasts - highly recommend. Gruest Services team and Grand Cayman Villas made this a memorable vacation for our families. We will return!

We shared SunRays with another family for a 2-week summer stay. This home had everything we could have wanted and more! The place was spotless upon arrival and we were met by the Grand Cayman Villas team. They helped us plan our entire stay including transport from the airport, rental card delivered, grocery pre-stocking, charters to the stingrays, chefs and so much more. The home was stunning and we felt like everything was new! We were so pleased with our decision. Grand Cayman is such a beautiful and friendly island.

Thank you for sharing your amazing property with our family of 24. Lots of room and space for everyone. We enjoyed the beach, pool and swimming every day. Short walk to Rum Point Club and Solis restaurant along with Rum Point Resort restaurant Blue Flame. Kaibo Beach was our favorite restaurant. Starfish Point was amazing, If you are considering this property, you will not be disappointed!

I’ve owned and stayed in many beach homes over the years and this was by far the best! Perfect for our family of 10, ranging in age from 12 to 75. There was something for everyone to enjoy without ever leaving the property ! House is exquisitely furnished with much attention to every design detail. Dining out even at casual restaurants was very expensive for a group this size so we ate most meals at home. The kitchen was well stocked with high end appliances , cooking utensils, and tableware . We rented only 1 car and had it delivered to the house; We’re able to easily walk to Rum Point and Kaibo was a 5 min drive away ( easy to do with 2 Shifts in the 1 car). We bought most of our groceries at Chilsom , just 7 miles by car. Made 2 runs into larger stores in Georgetown, about 40-45 min away. The highlight of our trip was a 1/2 day private charter boat that Captain Warren did on GCV’s 32’ boat; he ensured we went to Stingray City at a non busy time and all had so much fun. And he was always alert to everyone’s safety. I highly recommend visiting that area when there are no cruise ships in port. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful home to enjoy as a family!Thanks so much to our hosts for sharing your beautiful residence with us!!!

Our extended family had a fantastic week at SunRays Villa. The house was impeccable and the kitchen was very well appointed. Shamar from Grand Cayman Villas was exemplary; on top of everything from beginning to end! We couldn’t recommend SunRays and Shamar any higher! We have only been back for a few days and we cannot wait to visit again!

This place is wonderful. Thank you so much. We absolutely loved the house. All grandchildren from ages 27 down to twins 4 yrs old had the best time and stayed at the house, on the beach and in the pool all the time except for going to lunch.  Absolutely great.

From the moment we arrived and walked through the huge front door to the majestic view of the ocean and beach was paradise. We were greeted by Chef Remy . He and his two servers had prepared a sumptuous dinner for us of local snapper . We have had him cook every night for us and each of the four courses is delicious. Shamar arrived and gave us the lay of the land and each bedroom was as nice as the master bedroom with each having an insuite bathroom. This house is perfection. Built so well and maintained beautifully. It looks like a new house. We will return I hope next year. We brought our two grown daughters , their spouses and nine grandchildren. We have had the best time.The edgeless pool is huge and the hot tub is quite the hit. We had several questions re pillows, extra comforters and Blair came out to help. Beautiful, nice people at your fingertips to help make our vacation perfect and memorable. Cannot recommend this house enough. Best beach trip we have ever had. We have stayed all over the Caribbean and this is our third trip to Grand Caymans. Never had a house and view like this. Grandcaymanvillas.com is the company to use. Absolutely fantastic property which is located near key locations on the island. Quick kayak ride to Bioluminescent Bay, or the marina to take a snorkeling charter. The house was amazing and better in person than pictures. The concierge service was top notch and helped with so many details to make this a one-of-a-kind experience. I will absolutely stay here again!

We had the most marvelous stay at Sun Rays with our entire large three-generation family! The home is beautifully designed and decorated, spacious, and extremely well-equipped. The setting was gorgeous and very private, the beach was the perfect playground, the pool and hot tub are much larger than usual, and the outdoor living areas are peaceful and serene. The management and caretaking services were exemplary. In our many, many years of renting villas on the island, none has equaled Sun Rays. We have already booked our return visit!

We were recommended this property by Grand cayman Villas for our multi-generational family trip. We could not have picked a nicer home and location. Kids loved the beach with swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. Safe walks to Rum Point beach. Starfish Point was really nice both times we went there. Area restaurants were off the charts - Tukka, Italian Kitchen and Czech Inn in particular. The property was perfectly laid out, comfy bedding, lots of gathering space and space for privacy as well. Already booked for our next stay.

Sun Rays was a beautiful property, the views from the house to the ocean were incredible and the sunsets were truly spectacular. The house is totally new and modern… The kitchen was set up perfectly and we had everything we needed. We had to contact the property manager for minor items and the service and responses where great - we couldn\'t recommend Grand Cayman Villas more! We have stayed in the rum point areas many times and will continue coming back!

We booked SunRays before the property was completed and photos were taken. We have rented through Grand Cayman Villas several time and took their word that the villa would be complete, fully decorated and furnished. We could not have imagined the beauty and attention to detail through out the property. The kitchen was spectacular with everything we could have dreamed of having. We are foodies and like to cook. We also had Chef Remy cook for us a couple nights and his service was the finest we have ever experienced. The bedrooms were very large, all new bedding was firm and comfortable. There was lots of room to spread out, get some privacy, play time for kids, or snuggle with a book. Solid construction as you could not hear a peep from other bedrooms at night. The outside was exquisite. Large covered areas plus sunny areas for those who wanted to bake in the sun! The pool was huge and we enjoyed throughout the days and into the nights. The outdoor kitchen was perfect and we used that more than the indoor one. The beach was a perfect sand, and the barefoot swimming was a top priority on our list. We enjoyed the Cayman Kai area including the Rum Point beach, Starfish Point, the bioluminescent bay, Kaibo restaurants and walking/biking in the area. The areas was safe and we were comfortable in Cayman Kai. We also ventured to Rum Point Club residences for a few meals and drove to Tukka and Italian Kitchen on recommendation from scott. From start to finish we were treated like royalty. Louise checked in on us and offered personal service. Silver Thatch set us up with snorkel gear. The Grand Cayman Villas crew were exceptionally helpful in planning our trip and securing SunRays for our stay. To say that no stone was unturned in the design of SunRays is not an exaggeration.

Villa Cleaning & Sanitation

All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products.

Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival.

Getting Around

A rental car is highly recommended. Taxi cabs are unreliable and expensive outside of town and Seven Mile Beach. Plus, there is no Uber or Lyft on the island. 

For rental cars, we recommend Budget Cayman, Avis, or Marshalls.
